A conference focused on developments in the field of palliative care will be held on 20 and 21 April at the America Square Conference Centre in London. Speakers include Professor Bridget Johnston, Professor in Palliative and Supportive Care, Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences, University of Nottingham, Professor Matthew Makin, executive medical director for the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, and Professor Mari Lloyd-Williams, director of the Academic Palliative and Supportive Care Studies Group at the University of Liverpool. Some of the topics that will be discussed include dealing with the psychological conditions associated with palliative care, management of complex pain, and conserving dignity in end of life care.
