An event on revalidation for midwives will take place on 30 September at the Hallam Conference Centre in London. Speakers will include Louise Silverton, director of midwifery at the RCM, Katerina Kolyva, director of continuing practice at the NMC, and Helen Young, director of nursing and midwifery at Birmingham Women's NHS Foundation Trust. Some of the topics that will be discussed include demonstrating competence, developing effective clinical supervision, managing performance concerns and improving appraisal skills.
