Independent Nurse and our sister title Practice Nursing are launching a new immunisation nursing CPD conference on 14 September in Hallam Conference Centre, London. This is a free CPD event open to all nurses.
Immunisation is the most effective public health intervention after the provision of clean water, and nurses with responsibility for immunisation are in a privileged position to make a major contribution to the nation’s health.

The event is running from 9am-5pm, and chaired by Dr George Kassianos with talks from expert speakers including Dr Catherine Heffernan, Helen Bedford, and Helen Donovan. The programme will include dealing with vaccine hesitancy in parents, travel immunisation update, improving uptake of shingles vaccination, 2022 influenza panel discussion, and HPV vaccination.
