Long COVID is an emerging disease that is rapidly on the rise. The Office for National Statistics (ONS) estimates that, as of the start of November 2022, 2.2 million were experiencing long COVID symptoms in the UK.

Nurses working in general practice and the community have a crucial role to play in supporting the growing number of patients with long COVID. They have experience in supporting people with long-term conditions, and their knowledge and skills can be transferred to help patients manage this multi systemic condition.
