Anyone needing to complete an access course for a place on a nursing degree programme could benefit from a new online access course offered by Milton Keynes College.
Students anywhere in the UK will be able to study the healthcare access course, removing the barriers that some face when taking an access course, such as he time drain of travelling to and from college while holding down a job.
The course has flexible start/end dates and provides 24/7 online access to tutors. A government loan scheme will repay all access course tuition fees if students go on to secure a place at University.
To study the access courses in nursing, midwifery and social care, students will need a minimum of a Grade C in maths and English.
The college hopes the course attracts students and goes some way to feeding the shortage in nurses and midwives.
