NICE and Public Health England (PHE) will collaborate to develop quality standards for public health.
NICE and Public Health England (PHE) will collaborate to develop quality standards for public health. They will work together on supporting the local public health system and providing evidence-based guidance; access to evidence on public health; and help to put guidance into practice; and creating a standard public health taxonomy.
Health secretary Jeremy Hunt will be responsible for referring public health topics to NICE. PHE and other partners will be closely involved in this process and Mr Hunt may also commission NICE to develop quality standards for public health.
