The MHRA has issued a class two drug allert for two batches of Ventolin Syrup sugar-free 2mg in 5ml, due to a 'low risk' of glass particles in the bottles.
The recall by Glaxo Wellcome UK involves amber glass bottles of Ventolin Syrup displaying batch numbers M005 or M006.There have been 1,375 affected bottles dispensed to pharmacies but there is less than a one in 1,000 chance of a bottle having a defect.
Patients should check batch numbers and return affected bottles to pharmacies.
