The general election is coming

With the general election set to take place on 8 June, the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) has now released its manifesto detailing what it wants to see from all the parties running of seats in Parliament. Available on their website, the manifesto includes a tool which calculates how much the current government’s policy has ‘cost’ each nurse – nurses can plug in their annual salary and the tool will tell them what they would be earning if nurses’ pay had gone up with inflation and rises had not been capped at 1%. The page also shows RCN members how they can register to vote.
