PHE has released a number of resources for European Antibiotic Awareness Day (EAAD) on 18 November. The resources include downloadable posters, advice on how to raise antibiotic awareness in patients, and a toolkit for organisations to encouraging responsible prescribing. EAAD is a campaign that sets out actions to slow the development and spread of antimicrobial resistance. It calls on everyone in the UK, the public and healthcare community to become antibiotic guardians by pledging how they will make better use of medicines.
Organisations are encouraged to register their planned activities and to share outcomes, pictures, and case studies of their campaigns with the EAAD chair Dr Diane Ashiru-Oredope at espaur@phe.gov.uk.
