A conference to support nurses to demonstrate competencies will be held on 11 March at the Hallam Conference Centre in London. Speakers include Deborah Robertson, senior lecturer and programme lead at the University of Chester; Susan Aitkenhead, head of nursing at NHS England; and Linda Nazarko, a consultant nurse in physical healthcare at West London Mental Health NHS Trust. Some of the topics that will be discussed are delivering the competence aspect of the 6Cs for nursing, maintaining competence in new skills and roles, and identifying skills and competencies needed for practice, and safely expanding on them.
