Insomnia may affect sperm

Sleep disturbances may undermine semen quality. In a study of 953 Danish men who completed a four-question survey about sleep patterns during the previous four weeks, researchers categorised responses to each question as: 'all the time' (scoring 100 per cent); 'a large part of the time' ( 67 per cent); 'rarely' (33 per cent); and 'never' ( 0 per cent). The sleep score was the mean of the percentages and classified as '0' then groups of ten (eg 1-10) and finally '>50'.
