From 13 February 2017, there will be a number of team changes at Independent Nurse.
Mike Shallcross will resume the role of editor following Rita Som's departure, after three and a half years in the role. Mr Shallcross previously covered Ms Som's maternity cover during 2016, and will now take on the role permanantly.
'I am delighted to be back in the editor's chair, I thoroughly enjoyed the role last year. I am looking forward to getting stuck back into the world of primary care nursing. I wish Rita the best of luck in the future,' said Mr Shallcross.
'Deputy editor Seeta Bhardwa will also be leaving the publication, after three and a half years at the title. Editorial assistant Alex Turnbull has been promoted to news editor, and a new junior reporter will be recruited in due course.
