The prestigious British Journal of Nursing Awards will return as a week-long online event, to celebrate the efforts of nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic from 8th–12th March.

This will be held following annual awards to recognise and celebrate excellence in nursing on the 8th March.

BJN’s Awards Week will see interviews from all of our winners where they will discuss their award-winning work, to share their experiences and inspire others to introduce changes to their own practice. Each day of the Week will also feature important educational updates on a variety of specialist topics to keep nurses up-to-date with the latest developments in their field.

‘This year has been a particularly hard year for nursing, but it also has highlighted what an incredible, resilient and committed profession nursing is,’ said Sophie Gardner, editor of the British Journal of Nursing.

‘This year’s BJN awards have seen examples of incredible work that has not only been innovative but has pushed boundaries at a time when services and people have been stretched to the limit. We would like to take this opportunity to not only thank the winners, but to thank every single nurse for their hard work and dedication throughout the pandemic.’
