A man is walking 30 miles across Scotland in honour of his late nursing grandparents and to raise money for the Cavell Nurses' Trust.
Dan Morris is hoping to raise £1000 to support nurses facing hardship through his trek. Mr Morris comes from a family of nurses; his sister is a student nurse his aunty and two of his grandparents were nurses, his great-grandfather was a WW1 Royal Army Medical Corps nurse and his great-grandmother was a WW2 Red Cross nurse.
When choosing to support the Cavell Nurses' Trust Mr Morris discovered that his grandparents, Stuart and Ann Morris, had previously asked the charity for help. The Trust provided Stuart with £300 for a mobility scooter.
'I can't believe it. In all honesty I picked the Cavell Nurses' Trust to walk for simply because my grandparents were both nurses. I had no idea that they'd actually received help from the charity. That makes the walk even more special for me now,' said Mr Morris.
Mr Morris' walk will take him along the same route that his grandfather rode years ago on his mobility scooter. To donate to Dan's walk go to his JustGiving page https://www.justgiving.com/bimbletothebeeftub/
