Trial of dementia standard in 2013

Written by: | Published:

Pilot standards on the care of people with dementia and the wellbeing of looked-after children will be published by NICE in April 2013, as part of its expansion to develop quality standards for social care in England.

NICE is also developing joint health and social care standards for the transition between child and adult services.

The organisation will investigate the implementation of quality standards including autism in adults; autism in children; child maltreatment; domiciliary care; medicines management in care homes; and the mental wellbeing of older people.
