Q: We are hearing much about nurse revalidation but when I try to get information, it is very detailed and overly complicated. I know I will need to read up on this but can you explain simply when revalidation will happen and what it means for nurses and midwives?

A: The main message is relax. This should be a welcomed initiative by nurses and midwives and not an onerous task. For many of you, it will mean nothing more than what you are already doing. It will also replace the existing three year renewal cycle and the notification of practice form.
