Nurse Appraisal and Revalidation in Mental Health

The conference will focus on how revalidation will affect them. Speakers include Jackie Smith, the chief executive and registrar of the NMC, who will discuss planning for the changes at a local level and whether the process will differ in mental health nursing, and Ian Hulatt, the mental health advisor at the RCN, who will speak about the state of appraisals in mental health nursing. Other topics include developing and demonstrating competence in mental health nursing, the role nurse managers in delivering appraisal in mental health, and nurse staffing and skills in mental health.
