New professionalism guide

On International Nurses Day, Chief Nursing Officers, supported by the NMC, launched Enabling professionalism in nursing and midwifery practice, a document which defines for nurses and midwives what ‘professionalism’ means in everyday practice. It shows how applying the values of the code should be at the centre of all practice. For employers, it identifies key principles to help them provide practice environments that support and encourage professionalism among staff.
