The Royal College of Midwives (RCM) has launched an online i-learn module on human rights as changes to supervision come into force

The Royal College of Midwives (RCM) has launched an online i-learn module on human rights as changes to supervision come into force. The module has been developed in partnership with Birthrights, the human rights in childbirth charity, and is the latest in a series of over 80 developed by the RCM’s education team. The resource has been launched to coincide with the new model and framework of supervision for midwives in England, A-EQUIP, which came into practice on 1 April. The module includes learning focused on core human rights principles surrounding maternity care, legal obligations and tools and the positive effect human rights can have on midwives and a woman’s personal experience of pregnancy and childbirth.
