Training for seasonal influenza

Public Health England has released a set of slides to support nurses and other healthcare professionals to combat outbreaks of seasonal influenza. The slides set out effective treatment procedures, infection control practices and managing an outbreak. There is also general clinical information on the symptoms of flu, and advice on how to diagnose a case of influenza as quickly as possible. It also sets out the UK's vaccination programme, with information about its history, clinical risk groups such as children, the elderly, and healthcare workers. The package of slides is designed to be easy to access and use by healthcare professionals.
